Dorcas Moulton has been teaching for over twenty-five years in the Bay Area. She has been teaching the watercolor classes at Merritt College since 1986 and also teaches pastel, figure drawing, botanical drawing and perspective sketching there. She taught color theory at the Academy of Art in San Francisco for eight years. Her prismacolor drawing of black cats has been made into a poster for the Fund for Animals in New York, and her image of white pigs won Best of Show at the California State Fair. Her pastel portraits of people and pets are in private collections around the country. She is known for her extensive knowledge of materials and techniques, and for her supportive and entertaining style of instruction. When not teaching, she loves to garden and play the accordian with musician friends. |
